SANDRA G. HOSTETTER

Regional President, Central Florida Truist Financial Corporation

 

Sandy Hostetter is Regional President for Central Florida at Truist Financial Corporation, the nation’s premier financial services company. She assumed her current position on December 9, 2019, upon the closing of the merger of equals between BB&T Corporation and SunTrust Banks, Inc. 

In this role, Hostetter is the company’s senior leader in the market responsible for delivering the full complement of the company’s services to clients in the area and directing the commercial business.   Prior to her current role, she served as the Central Florida Market President for SunTrust Bank, Inc. and is a Central Florida banking veteran with over 35 years of local experience in the financial services industry.

 

Ms. Hostetter is an energetic leader and a catalyst for change.  She serves on the Central Florida YMCA Board and Executive Committee.  She is a founding member of the Board of LIFT Orlando and serves on their Executive Committee as Housing Chair.  Hostetter chairs the Business Development Committee for the Orlando Economic Partnership and is Vice Chair of the Board.  She serves on the board for Advent Health, 4Roots Farm and Florida Citrus Sports.

 

In 2008, Ms. Hostetter was named Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Central Florida Association of Fundraising Professionals for her work on the YMCA Scholarship campaign.   She was named Central Florida Woman of the Year by the Women’s Executive Council in 2011. In 2012, the Orlando Business Journal presented her with the prestigious Publisher’s Award and in 2013 she won the coveted Athena International Leadership Award in recognition of her contribution to the Central Florida community.  In 2016, Onyx Magazine named her as one of their Women on the Move.   In 2017, the I4 Business Magazine presented her with the prestigious Women’s Inspired Leadership Spirit of Advocacy award and the American Bankers Association Foundation recognized her as a finalist for the George Bailey Distinguished Service award for her commitment and service in her community.  In 2019, Sandy was named Alumna of the Year by the University of Florida’s Bergstrom Real Estate Center and recognized as one of the Women of the Year by Orange Appeal Magazine.  Most recently, Sandy was awarded Junior Achievement’s Spirit of Achievement Award and inducted into the Mid-Florida Hall of Fame.

 

Sandy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and a Masters of Business Administration from the Crummer School of Business, Rollins College.
