Kate Slentz

Associate Editor and Publisher, Orange Appeal and Interior Appeal

 

Kate Slentz is associate editor and publisher of Orange Appeal and Interior Appeal magazines and co-founder of the Orlando Women’s Conference. She helped her mother, Christi, launch Orange Appeal in 2008 and continued to assist with writing assignments while studying journalism at the University of Florida. She returned full time after graduation, where she holds several roles including writing and editing, advertising sales, photography and graphic design, digital marketing and social media, and administration and accounting.

She is an alumni (2015) of the ATHENA NextGen program and remains actively involved. She served on the board of directors of the Foundation for Foster Children for six years. She has also served on the National Philanthropy Day Awards committee since 2011 and the Easterseals Florida A Pair to Remember committee since 2018. She serves several other organizations in an advisory role and Orange Appeal supports and promotes hundreds of nonprofit events each year.

Kate and her husband, Mike, have two children, Benjamin and Audrey. They live in Mount Dora and enjoy all the charms of their little town.
